Divyanchi Avas: Today’s Special Menu

Ingredients/Method:

  1. chop or grate 3/4 cup Jaggery
  2. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cups of hot water
  3. Let the Jaggery melt
  4. Add wheat flour and one spoon of fine Semolina to the mixture and knead the dough as shown in the photo 1. It should be hard or medium consistency
  5. Cover it and rest it for 25 minutes
  6. Make the shape of diyas as shown in picture 2
  7. Steam them for 10-15 minutes in a steamer
  8. Serve it with ghee which is shown in Picture 3
